This past Fall was gorgeous!! And this family session was on an incredibly waaaaarm day in November. What beautiful, intelligent girls and beautiful, brilliant colors.
Do you know how to knit? I've learned a few times over the years. First by my grandmother and then by a friend when were living in Bolivia. At first it was confusing and messy and not at all relaxing, but over time it became something that I really enjoyed. Actually producing something for someone to wear was even more rewarding! These days, I don't have a lot of time to knit, but I still try to pick up my needles every now and then to make sure that I don't forget how. I did NOT knit the cozy items in these photographs! haha. These are made by Vonana and they are beautiful. You can find her work here. And a huge thanks to Katelyn - these photo shoots with you modeling are always fun!!
It's never a dull moment with these kids! Their mischievous smiles say it all!! As always, these kiddos had me running around all over the place. It was great exercise and tons of fun! Stay tough ladies!
Sometimes when I look at photos from a session, I can't help but smile. As I was going through these, I caught myself giggling a few times. What a sweet family and allll that love. Thanks guys for the smiles.
Taking advantage of the last warm days of summer, we went outside, did some exploring and took some photographs! This little guy was as sweet as can be and is clearly loved by his big sis! And she had a great time with Dad playing with flowers and checking out the water. When Dad grabbed a crab though, she wasn't sure quite what to think and those big eyes got even bigger! Haha! It is amazing to see the world through their eyes. So much is new!
This sweet family has grown since I photographed them last! And what a smile he has!! We always have fun when we take pictures together. Me encanta cuando puedo trabajar con familias que hablan Español tambien. Bueno, usamos un poco de Spanglish, pero igual fue muy divertido! Y ellos son bellos y tan amables. Y las sonrisas!!!!
I can't say enough kind things about these folks! We had a fun session with a lot of giggles and some beautiful scenery - including chickens and tractors and the pup of course!
What a cute family, right?! Waking up from a nap to have a stranger take pictures of you is not easy! I would have trouble smiling if I were still bleary-eyed, but we got this little one warmed up and he was so sweet. We danced in circles to get these little smiles. And those blue eyes, filled with curiosity! Happy Birthday little one! Congrats to you and your family on Year One! Felicidades!

You never know what a newborn photo session will be like, especially when there are a few little ones running around, but this was so fun. We tried and tried to get him to sleep and he was not interested until we rested him in this basket and then he was out! This entire family was so wonderful. Thanks for letting me capture this perfect new addition to your family!

Here it is! The website is up and running!! Finally. As it turns out, taking a few small steps every day really does move you forward! So this is the first post. As I learn how to blog a little more, I will add more and more posts and hopefully they will get prettier and more interesting. And if they don't, please tell me. Very nicely. haha.
Thanks for coming along on this photography journey of mine. Feel free to join in the fun at any time!
